After over 20 years out west, I'm still awed by rainbows, home-grown lemons, colorful hummingbirds, magnificent sunsets and surreal, foggy landscapes over the Golden Gate Bridge. I don't take these things for granted. They are precious gifts from nature, as are my amazing children. I am a mom with two kind and funny young men and a compassionate husband who shares my health interest as a cancer surgeon. Aside from those guys, my loves including cooking, hiking, yoga, running, dancing, dark chocolate, meditating, gardening and making profound connections with others.
I received my training as an integtrative health coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where I learned more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. My education, work and personal experience have equipped me with extensive knowledge in nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results. I will support you to create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences and goals.

Before becoming a Health Coach, I created a superfood cookie to provide to cancer patients at my husband's hospital, UCSF Medical Center. The cookie project took on a life of its own with many eager volunteers including bakers, branding executives, artists, other patients and our local news team who filmed us for a segment on health. What moved me the most was that patients' moods were visibily transformed by the gift of caring and nurturing through food. These lovely people inspired me to pursue my journey of food and health coaching as a career.
I graduated from Vassar College with a degree in biopsychology – the study of the mind-body connection. After college, I wrote nutrition and food columns for Self, Glamour, and Wine Spectator magazines followed by a 20-year career in public relations in the healthcare and life sciences industries.
Cooking and fitness are my two favorite pastimes.
